Prof. M. Basavaraja was formerly Principal of SREE RAMACHANDRA ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE, Hyderabad (Aided by Govt. of A.P) affiliated to Osmania University. He had over 37 years of very rich experience both as Academician and an Academic Administrator in various capacities within and outside college in the state of A.P.

Born on 10th December 1948, he made the beginning of his career as Lecturer in Commerce in a Degree College under O.U. Jurisdiction in 1972. He was elevated as Principal-in-charge in 1977, and later as Principal in 1982. He had 35 years of long teaching experience for U.G students and 16 years for P.G students. His areas of specialization: Finance and Law.

Prof. M. Basavaraja was associated with several committees appointed by the Govt. of A.P, and also by the O.U. in connection with reforms in Higher Education. He was member of Board of Studies in Commerce for both U.G and P.G. courses and served as member of Board Faculty of Commerce, O.U.

He had 5 Research Publications in National Journals and 6 books on Research Publications to his credit.

He was the Co- Convener for two consecutive years 1998 and 1999 for the state level MBACET on behalf of AP State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) Govt. of A.P.

He was the Founder Co-Convener for ICET-2001 (Integrated common entrance test for MBA/MCA conducted by APSCHE). He was also the co-convener ICET-2002.

He is a recognized research supervisor of O.U., Dr B R Ambedkar University and Madurai Kamraj University.

He has association with several professional bodies viz. All India Commerce Association, All India Accounting Association, LIC of India.

He has been the Addl. Director of this Institute from 3rd January 2007 to 31st May 2008. In addition to his administrative responsibilities for this institute he inspires MBA students with his flair for teaching with subjects like Strategic Management, Accounting for Management and Business Law and Ethics.
